When Kelsie + Jordan asked me to photograph their Destination Wedding I couldn't pack my bags quick enough! They hitched at Santo Wines in Kamari, a secluded winery that sits high up in the mountains of this volcanic beauty of an island. Kelsie and Jordan have been together for 8 years, and this wedding took 2 years in planning. The day started on July 27th at a villa on a quiet side of the island called Santo Aloe, Kelsie and her mates started the party early while they were getting ready.
The villa was stunning, and perfect for bridal prep. The white walls and shuttered windows created some out of this world Santorini light, and when you love and chase light for a living its safe to say I was in heaven. It was straight from the villa to the service and celebration, Kelsie was advised on a later Wedding by her wedding planners to avoid the midday sun, they both decided on 6pm and the weather couldn't have been nicer.
After the conffetti madness calmed down I took the new Mr & Mrs White up to a small town called Castelli, way up to the top of Santorini. The locals couldn't have been more welcoming and we managed to get them in for some of Jordan and Kelsie's couple shots.
After some quiet time alone it was back to the celebration. These two swapped the slow first dance for some Zorba, what a party starter! they have a little one of their own and documenting the moment he was reunited (after 30minutes) with his Mum and Dad was one of my personal highlights of the day.
As the sun was setting the soft lighting was too much to miss, we had a little walk over to a traditional Greek church just a stones throw away from the reception venue. Then it was more partying to the early hours, plate smashing, crazy dancing and an awesome sparkler exit to top it off.
